1. Hazard Information

1.1 Physical Hazards

    • Falling Object Hazard: Incorrect fitting, loose fastening or failure of the retention system may cause the Slip-On Slate to detach and fall, potentially causing injury or property damage.
    • Insecure Fit: Use with an incompatible clapperboard may prevent the product from being securely retained.
    • Elastic Retention Hazard: Excessive stretching, pulling or deterioration of the elastic retaining strap may reduce its ability to securely hold the product.
    • Plastic Component Damage: Bending, folding, impact or excessive force may crack, warp or separate the layered plastic panels. Damaged edges may become sharp.
    • Fastening Failure: Worn, contaminated or improperly engaged hook-and-loop fastening may reduce holding strength and increase the risk of detachment.
    • Impact Hazard: Do not drop or throw the product.
    • Small/Damaged Parts: Broken or detached components may present an ingestion or choking hazard. Keep away from children.

1.2 Environmental Hazards

    • Wet-Weather Use: The product is designed for use in rain and wet production conditions. Prolonged storage while wet may cause deterioration of materials or fastening performance.
    • Heat Exposure: Excessive heat may deform the plastic components or affect the elastic and hook-and-loop materials.
    • Chemical Exposure: Strong solvents, cleaning chemicals or other incompatible substances may damage the plastic, elastic or fastening materials.

1.3 Misuse Hazards

    • Do not use as a handle for carrying the clapperboard.
    • Do not use for lifting, suspension, climbing or load-bearing applications.
    • Do not attach heavy equipment or excessive weight to the hook-and-loop surface.
